The project assignment provides a forum for analyzing and evaluating relevant topics for this week on the basis of the course competencies covered.

Introduction:

Research the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) and provide your findings.

Tasks:

  • Analyze China’s admittance into the WTO.
  • Evaluate the pros and cons of the WTO.
  • Analyze the role of the ILO and the impact it has on CSR.
  • Evaluate the pros and cons of the ILO.

To support your work, use your course and text readings and also use the South University Online Library. As in all assignments, cite all sources in your work and provide references for the citations in APA format.

  • What is coaching and what is mentoring? What are the differences between the two? How can you use these techniques to better your employees and develop them into our next leaders or high-performing employees? In addition, how can you as a leader, coach, and mentor look to employees in the organization for succession planning? If you get promoted or leave the organization, how would you coach, mentor, train individuals so they can further develop their talent to be your replacement or to advance in the company?
  • Research some articles and coaching and mentoring employees and elaborate on your findings.

  • Why is organizational change significant? Why do most employees resist change? What can you do as a leader to develop the organization, so they accept and make change possible?
  • What can we do as individuals and leaders to ensure our companies have the best fit and culture to be successful from a talent development perspective? Can we develop culture, change it, or develop others to create and promote a successful organizational culture?

Leadership course – Team Leadership Practical Application

  • Think of how you as a leader can develop your skills around team leadership. What are the key elements for a leader to “lead” a team of individuals? What are some of the pros and cons? 
  • How would you approach team leadership if you were given the opportunity? In addition, how can you as a leader increase collaboration among your teammates and/or within your department organization to make it higher performing or more effective?
